EDGERTON

Edgerton Hospital has opened a new Quick Care at 4 Burdick St. in downtown Edgerton. It's open Monday through Friday at 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In a release, Edgerton Hospital and Health Services said the new walk-in healthcare option is a convenient option for people dealing with non-emergency ailments and who are unable to see their primary care provider within 1-2 days.

Quick Care is similar to Urgent Care. No appointment is needed and most patients can expect to be seen within an hour.

Services include stitches, wound repair, testing for strep, UTIs, STDs, and common upper respiratory viruses. Patients needing X-ray or radiological services will be referred to the emergency department at nearby Edgerton Hospital, 11101 N. Sherman Road.

Staff at new Quick Care include medical professionals experienced in urgent care services, including a nurse practitioner, or physician assistant, and certified medical assistants.

“We are excited to open the new Quick Care in a historical building in downtown Edgerton and to transition our walk-in, non-emergency services to a new location," Edgerton Hospital CEO Marc Augsburger said in the press release.

"The Emergency Department will continue to handle all your emergency care needs, 24/7," Augsburger noted.
