A new Mexican grocery and taqueria comes to a bustling stretch of Janaesville’s Milton Avenue.
Riley Grafft owns and manages the strip mall at the Janesville Plaza at 2573 Milton Avenue on the city’s retail-heavy northeast side.
He says a local owner and operator plans this fall to rehab a former travel office and another suite next door at the strip mall, transforming it to Mi Mexico.
It’ll be the third Hispanic-style eatery to open in the last few years at Grafft’s strip mall at 2573 Milton Avenue. It’ll join a sit-down Mexican food restaurant, San Miguel de Allende, and a Latin-style ice cream shop, La Michoacana.
Grafft says the soon-to-be trifecta of Latin-inspired eateries at his Janesville strip mall proves the growing local popularity of Hispanic cuisine.
He says visitors and residents alike tell him they want a local dining scene loaded with different types of ethnic foods.
